Taroko Gorge is a famous location in Taiwan, not many people get to view it
from the top. Hiking the Zhuilu Old Trail gave me a new perspective on one of
my favorite places. The trail takes hikers from the bottom of the gorge,
through old ruins taken over by Mother Nature, to a tiny trail along the cliffs
at the top of the gorge that Japanese occupiers forced aboriginals to use
during their pacification attempt in the 20th century. Be sure
to hug the cliff side so you don’t fall down; watch your step!
