  10. 6. Eligibility:
  11. 6-1. Open to non-Taiwanese citizens who have physically visited Taiwan and taken photos in Taiwan while visiting. Once selected, wining contestants must offer ONE of EITHER of the following documents in order to be able to collect prizes:
  12. (1) Proof of having visited Taiwan: proof of having visited Taiwan, officially known as the“CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY AND EXIT DATES入出國日期證明書”must be issued by the National Immigration Agency as evidence that the contestant has stayed in Taiwan. The certificate can be applied for at any city or county’s National Immigration Agency in Taiwan, in-person or by proxy. Any fees to generate such documentation will be borne by contestants.
  13. (2) A photocopy of both the front and back of “Alien Resident Certificate” (hereinafter refers to as ARC) or “Alien Permanent Resident Certificate” (hereinafter refers to as APRC) issued by the National Immigration Agency as evidence that contestant has stayed in Taiwan.
  14. 6-2. If contestants cannot provide the Certificate of Entry and Exit Dates, ARC or APRC, within 15 days after the winners are announced in June, 2016, or if the documents are deemed faulty by the organizer, then the organizer reserves the right to cancel the winner’s eligibility. Replacement winners will not be selected.
  15. 7. Submissions of Photo and Content:
  16. 7-1. Each photo must be no more than 2 megabytes in size.
  17. 7-2. Titles may not exceed 10 words. Organizer reserves the right to edit Title.
  18. 7-3. Description for “Me in Taiwan” photos must be within 100 words. Organizer reserves the right to edit the Description.
  19. 7-4. Once submitted, editing is not permitted.
  20. 7-5. The photo need to be a single image, not a composite image.
  21. 7-6. Contestants’ faces must be visibly recognizable in each photo. The Organizer has the right to define recognition.

  23. 7-8. Organizer reserves the right to reject entries.
  24. 8. Email Submission Format:
  25. 8-1. Email subject line: Me in Taiwan [Contestants’ name] [Contestant’s Nationality]
  26. 8-2. Body of email must include the following content:
  27. (A) Contestant’s Nationality
  28. (B) Contestant’s Full Name as Shown on Passport
  29. (C) Title of photo
  30. (D) Location of photo: including city name & county name
  31. (E) Description of photo
  32. (F) Date photo was taken
  33. (G)Contestant’s contact phone (including Country Code and Area Code)
  34. ※Submissions without the above information will not be eligible to win.
  35. 8-3. Maximum of three entries per person.
  36. 8-4. Written parts of each submission must be in English.
  37. 9. Descriptions and photos submitted must be the contestants must be each contestant’s sole creation. Any acts of plagiarism, misuse of trademarks, editing of others’ work, or violation of copyright laws and intellectual property rights will result in disqualification of eligibility. Violators agree to return their prizes, if any, in full. Contestants agree to accept complete liability arising from their submissions attributed to the contest, to the Organizer, sponsor, or other third-parties. Contestants agree to fulfill such legal responsibilities adjudicated from their submissions and fully indemnify the Organizer, sponsor, or other third-parties from any liability.
  38. 10. Contestants cannot submit their entry(ies) to any other public contests in any form including, but not limited to, electronic media, newspapers, magazines, print materials (including school materials), internet (including personal blogs), or other outlets. Violation will result in the disqualification of eligibility and prizes, and contestant agrees to return prizes, if any, in full.
  39. 11. Contestants agree that Contest Organizer has the right, at no charge, to use their submitted materials (including photos, likenesses, written descriptions) without limitations to location, time, frequency and in any form including, but not limited to, electronic media, website, digital and print media.
  40. 12. The Organizer reserves the right to edit, delete or reject works submitted by the contestants.
  41. 13. Grading Criteria: 20% via online ballot, and 80% via judges’ evaluations. (Judging Criteria: concept; beauty and technical excellence.)
  42. 14. Results are scheduled to be announced in June 2016. Winners agree to submit their photocopy of ARC, APRC or “CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY AND EXIT DATES入出國日期證明書”, issued by the National Immigration Agency via email to meintaiwan@tealit.com as proof that the contestant has stayed in Taiwan. If the Organizer does not receive these documents by email after 3 email reminders and phone call within 15 days after the announcement or finds faulty information in contestant’s submission, then the winner’s rights and eligibility to receive the prize will be immediately cancelled. Replacement winners will not be selected.
  43. 15. Prizes are subject to all applicable tax laws of Taiwan. Prizes will be awarded after withholding taxes, financial remittance charges and any related fees.
  44. 16. The use of computer software to manipulate voting or otherwise influence the outcome of the contest is prohibited, and if found will result in the cancellation of all ballot scores as the grading criteria to maintain fairness. Adjudication of such manipulation is the sole province of the Contest Organizer.
  45. 17. Organizer is not legally responsible for any delay, loss, error, illegibility, or damage to contestants’ entries, information or documents due to technical problems, internet connectivity or unforeseen technical issues which may arise or force majeure. Adjudication of such circumstance is the sole province of the Contest Organizer.
  46. 18. Organizer reserves the right to modify the rules and regulations of the contest at any time. Contestants agree to check the website for the most up-to-date changes.
  47. 19. Organizer maintains the right to cancel, terminate or postpone the contest for any reason.
  48. 20. Claiming of prizes requires an email response to Organizer from the winner’s email address used for contest entry within 15 days of being notified. Failure to respond shall mean that the winner forfeits the prize. Contest Organizer is not required to reimburse any prizes forfeited or lost once prizes have been awarded.
  49. 21. Voting
  50. 21-1. In order to vote you need to log into your tealit.com account.
  51. 21-2. Individuals are limited to one vote per person per day without regard to the number of tealit.com user accounts a person has.
  52. 21-3. Special gifts will be given out to random voters once voting concluded.
  53. 21-4. Prize winners will be announced in June, 2016. Winners will be notified by email three times within 15 days. If the organizer does not receive any reply from the winner within 15 days after the announcement, then the winner’s rights and eligibility to receive the prize will be cancelled. Replacement winners will not be chosen.
